    I’ve just finished my 2nd yr of arch in aus and I’ve always wondered about some of the lecturers and studio coordinators we have and whether the reason they teach is because they need to supplement their income….

    ahh, losing passion for this course =(

    I donno any independent architect or small office where architects are rich. Maybe only 3 big company-holders are….when I think again,they are not drawing at all: difference is that: some do it for passion,some do it for $.

    what about norman forster and the architects in his league, or are they exceptions - the celebrities of architecture?
    I know starting your own firm would help, as would doing commercial projects

    as an architect worked 10years in my own design office yes ? must recept that too much work and not enough money for my dreams.a little quantite of architect became a millionare in design but alot if they construct the design and sells.

    hahahaha wuuuu…!!! Daug, I realy have to tell you that this is very true lmao but thats what I love to do and is great to see my imagination in a scale model or a paper. Is like magic sooooo! I love architecture; but my theory of architecture class is way to boring hehe.

    keep at it. it’s possible although improbable. I know 2 architect millionaires who made it in the profession. I don’t think there’s anything wrong by being driven by money as long as it’s all in perspective.
